It's been nearly a year since the last post, so an update is probably in order. Here is what's new:

1.) A record of new songs is being recorded in my house in Nashville and will be completed sometime in late winter. I'll let you know as soon as it's available.

2.) A recording of some Christmas songs I made a couple of years ago with Aaron Roche is being re-released (on actual cds this time) this month and includes two new songs along with some wonderful art by Three Bears design. It can be purchased here: http://www.myspace.com/choiratyourdoor

3.) Peace on Earth Vol. II has been released today and contains a new song called "cross-country skis" along with other songs by some really great artists. Peace On Earth: A Holiday Album
The Winston Jazz Routine will be featured on a christmas compilation record that will be released on Novemeber 13th by hardtofindafriend.com. The song is an original called "Through the Snow" and will be included on the $7 digital download, along with a bunch of orginals, covers and carols by a handful of really great artists (including: The Long Winters, Rosie Thomas, T.W. Happy holidays, friends. It's officially Christmas Eve, so as a present from Winston to you, there are nine songs available for download at http://www.elephanthug.com/ as "The Choir at Your Door." Nathan wrote and recorded the music with the very talented Floridian singer/songwriter/trombonist/crafter/crooner, Aaron Roche, between September and November of 2006. Finally, some remodelling for old Winston's home.

Getting right down to business: The Winston Jazz Routine is still in the process of recording their second full-length album. It will hopefully be available sometime this coming spring. Early reports are coming in that it may be "a bit more unified and organic compared to the previous releases." Check back for updates about this puzzle-ish, garden-like music.

Also, a mini-tour through the South is being planned for late December, early January. Nashville, Kansas City, The Alamo State--no one is safe when Winston is on vacation.

at long last! a new green wind blows across the dry deserts of The Winston Jazz Routine. two new shows (perhaps more?) have been scheduled, one in Ohio and one in Illinois at the Cornerstone Festival. these live musical productions will feature the same original members you've come to love, as well as a rotating cast of addendum contributors. so be sure to check out the "Concerts" page and also the Cornerstone site for more information. don't worry, there will be a lot of other bands to go see if TWJR has lost it since their last performances. ah yes, Cornerstone info can be found here: the official Cornerstone information web site, including information about The Winston Jazz Routine's performance there

next: a new song entitled "I See A Map" has been placed onto The Winston Jazz Routine Myspace page, which can be found here: the official Myspace page, featuring the new song "I See A Map"
